Score threshold

Each search has a threshold (default 7). Postings below it are stored and scored but don’t surface as matches — raise it when you’re drowning, lower it when you’re exploring. Nothing hidden is lost: the Matches page counts what’s below the line and a Show them link reveals every one, badged “below threshold”; the Board’s Matched column shows the same count.

Pause, never delete

Pausing stops the scans immediately, and Jobably remembers exactly where the search left off. Resuming picks up from that point — no gap, nothing fetched twice.

There is deliberately no delete: deleting would throw away the search’s memory and history. A paused search costs nothing and can sleep forever.

Run now

“Run now” queues an immediate scan across the search’s sources. On a paused search it returns an error — resume first.

Fetch filters

Each search can also narrow what’s fetched (which is what costs credits), all editable on the search form:

• Location — defaults to United States; blank means worldwide.
• Years of experience — 0-2, 2-5, 5-10 or 10+. This is the level filter company career sites use, and those are where most of your matches come from, so it is usually the one worth setting.
• Job-board levels — Internship through Executive, as checkboxes. Job boards only; career sites ignore them, which is what years of experience is for.
• Work type — full-time, part-time, contract, temporary, internship and so on. Defaults to full-time.
• Company size — a minimum, a maximum, or both.
• Industries — only these industries.
• Only these companies — restrict a search to named employers.
• Skip these companies and skip titles containing — per-search lists that ADD to the exclusions on your profile rather than replacing them.
• Skip staffing agencies — on by default.
• Description must contain — a boolean matched against the job description. It NARROWS the search: a posting must match your title query and this. Keep the title query broad if you use it.
• Remote only — only roles that can be done remotely.

Everything except the description filter is applied before you are charged, so a narrower search costs less rather than more. Titles on your profile-wide excluded keywords list are dropped at scan time too — that noise never reaches scoring. Jobs you save with the extension are never filtered.

All of these are also available over the API and to a connected AI assistant, and behave identically in each.

• Job boards — broader but noisier. Also on by default.
