How it all fits together

Jobably has two engines, and knowing which one an edit feeds answers most “where do I change this?” questions:

• Searches decide what gets FOUND. Each saved search queries the job boards on its schedule with its own keywords, location, and filters.
• Your profile decides how findings are SCORED. The questionnaire, your interview answers, and your excluded lists are compiled into your scoring rubric; every posting a search finds is scored against it.

The two moments things update

1. Fetch time — each search runs on its cadence (and immediately when created or “Run now”). New postings are de-duplicated, filtered, stored, and scored against your current rubric.
2. Re-score time — when you change your profile, existing matches keep their old scores until a re-score runs. After saving profile changes, the page offers Re-score my matches one click away; it’s also on the Matches page.

Common questions this answers

• “I updated my profile — do my searches change?” No. Searches fetch the same things; the scores of new findings reflect your updated rubric, and existing findings update when you re-score.
• “I want different jobs found.” Edit the search (or add one) on the Searches page — keywords and filters live there.
• “I updated my profile but the scores look the same.” They will until a re-score runs — use the offer that appears after saving, or Re-score on Matches.
• “Where do Matches end and the Board begin?” Same jobs, two views: Matches is the review queue (filter, dismiss, pursue, tailor), the Board is the pipeline you’re actively working. Moving a card on either side is the same underlying status change — and before you apply, every move is reversible.
