Jobably Swipe (phone app)

Jobably Swipe lives at swipe.jobably.com and installs on your phone like an app. It signs in with your Jobably account — email code, Google, or Microsoft — and does one job: discovery. It is the app to open for ten minutes on the train.

Installing it

Open swipe.jobably.com in your phone’s browser and sign in. Where the browser offers to install, a banner at the top of every screen says Install Jobably Swipe — one tap adds it to your home screen and it opens full-screen from then on. The same button sits on the Account tab.

Where the browser does not offer it, the Account tab shows the steps for your phone:

iPhone / iPad (Safari)	Tap Share (the square with the arrow), then Add to Home Screen. Safari never shows an install prompt, so this is always the path on iOS.
Android (Chrome)	Open the ⋮ menu and tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
Desktop (Chrome or Edge)	Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app.

Once installed, the app opens instantly even with a poor connection — only the shell is stored on your phone. Cards, swipes and search changes always go to Jobably live, so what you see is never stale.

The deck

Every posting your searches found that you have not judged yet is dealt as a card — including postings that scored below a search’s threshold, marked so you know. Each card reads like a profile: company (industry, size, where it was found), role (title, location, remote / hybrid / on-site, seniority), the posting’s stated pay, the score with Jobably’s written rationale, the skills and must-haves, and the full description on tap.

The ✕ and ♥ buttons are always on screen under the card, whatever the card’s length. The first time the deck opens in a session, the top card nudges right with a Keep stamp and left with a Pass stamp, so the gesture shows itself; touching the card ends the demonstration, and it never plays for anyone who has asked their phone for reduced motion.

• Swipe right (or ♥) to keep. The posting stays under Matched on your board — even a below-threshold one, because a keep is your call and outranks the floor. It is also recorded as a good fit, which tunes future scores.
• Swipe left (or ✕) to pass. A sheet slides over the card asking why — wrong level, wrong location, comp, industry, company, or just not for you. Tap one and the posting is dismissed; the reason tunes future scores exactly as a dismissal in the app does. Never mind, keep looking puts the card back.
• Tap the card to read everything, including the full description.
• Undo (top right) puts the last card back and reverses what it recorded.

A swipe leaves the screen the moment you let go and is saved behind it. If saving fails, the card comes back and says why — a swipe never silently fails to stick.

Searches

The Searches tab lists the same searches the app runs, each with its status (live, paused, or scanning right now), how many postings it has found, when it last ran and when it runs next. From your phone you can change a search’s name, title query, location, remote-only, score threshold and cadence, pause or resume it, and run it now. Every filter you cannot see here is carried through unchanged. Building a new search with the query helper stays in the app.

Account

Your signed-in address, the install button or steps, the theme toggle (shared with every Jobably surface), sign out, and a link to the full app.

What it leaves out

Tailoring, the board, interview prep, your profile and rubric — all of that is in the full app, on purpose. Swipe is for clearing the deck: keep what deserves a look, pass on what does not, nudge a search’s threshold, and let the pipeline do the rest.
