Your Bio

Profile → Your Bio holds one short self-description in your own words: a headline and three to six sentences. Two things use it.

• Cover letters speak in it. When a draft comes with a cover letter, the letter is written in the voice of your bio and draws on it where it fits the role.
• It is a draft for your LinkedIn About. Copy it out when you are ready; nothing in Jobably ever posts anywhere.

Evidence, not adjectives

A bio that could be anyone’s is not worth having. The test: swap the name, and does it still read true? If so, it says nothing. Lead with what only you could write — the size of the portfolio you ran, the team, the years at a level, the savings, the named programs and credentials.

The same no-fabrication rule as a resume line

Saving runs the check every tailored line passes: a year, a figure or a number that does not appear in your master resume or accomplishment bank is refused, and the refusal names it — “45” does not appear in your record. That is on purpose. The bio feeds documents that carry your name, so a fact has to be in your record before it can be in your bio. If it is true and missing, add it to the accomplishment bank first.
